Membership Benefits

As a student member of ACHE you will receive many valuable benefits and services.

Members will be invited to many lectures and seminars on healthcare related topics. The speakers will include practicing physicians, residency directors, and hospital administrators who are experts in the field of managed care. Lunch will be provided for members free of charge.
There will be social receptions hosted for local healthcare executives, attending physicians, medical directors, and our student doctor members. The reception format has been designed to give you the opportunity to meet the administrative personnel of local hospitals.
Several career development programs, including on-line resume/curriculum vitae review and mentor program will be available to members.
Members will receive health care related publications from several professional organizations, and will be eligible to join other professional healthcare organizations at a discounted rate.
Free national student membership at the College of Osteopathic Healthcare Executives.
Opportunities to become involved with the local communities through participation in the PROMISE Guest Speaker Program and Career Day.

Membership Dues

The basic membership fee for Student Chapter of ACHE/COHE is $20 for 4 years. It is one of the least expensive student organizations on campus. If you sign up before July 20, 1998, you will receive both a Welcome Packet and a Supplemental Test Bank, FREE of Charge!

You also have the option of purchasing a different membership level. The different membership levels include:

Basic Membership - $20 for 4 years. Benefits: National COHE membership, meals during workshops, free lunch lectures and seminars, networking receptions, mentor program, and resume/CV display.

Basic Plus Membership - $40 for 4 years. Benefits: The benefits of the Basic Membership plus a print order of 200 UNT Health Science Center business cards

National Membership - $40 for 4 years. Benefits: The benefits of the Basic Membership and a one year National Student Associate Membership at the American College of Healthcare Executives. The National ACHE benefits include a professional journal Hospital and Health Services Administration, a bimonthly magazine Healthcare Executives, Access to Career Mart job search on ACHE website, a copy of Directory of Postgraduate Fellowship in Health Administration. If you are planning a future career as a hospital or managed care administrator, we strongly recommend this level of membership.

National Plus Membership - $50 for 4 years. Benefits: The benefits of the National Membership plus a print order of 200 UNT Health Science Center business cards.
